Ira Hüppe - TITUS Research GmbH
Ira Hüppe completed her studies in industrial engineering at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg with a master's degree in 2019. As a research assistant at the Chair of Automation Technology, she then worked on a project to develop assistance systems for the small series assembly. Since 2020, she is working at the TITUS Research GmbH in Wildau, where she first took over responsibilities for projects and then for a specific department.
TITUS Research GmbH (TITUS: Technology, Innovation and Test Center for Unmanned Autonomous Systems) is a research-oriented company founded in September 2018 and located at the Aerospace Center "Schönefelder Kreuz". Its R&D activities cover both aerial and surface vehicles, as well as dedicated infrastructures.
The department "Systems and Missions", led by Ira Hüppe, researches particular topics arising from the hardware and software requirements for an autonomous system to accomplish a specific mission.
At the CURPAS conference 2022, she will present the project DataSOW. The goal of the project was to create a data and algorithm basis that can be used to significantly advance the development of autonomously operating inland vessels. For this purpose, a dataset for training neural networks was created and an AI module for detecting and classifying infrastructure components on inland waterways was developed.
