Panel Process - Integration of autonomous Systemes
Christoph Rentschler has been working since May 2017 as a scientific Assistant at the Institute of mobility and transportation (imove) at the University of applied sciences Kaiserslautern. He has been working intensely on the topic of autonomous and connected transportation.
That´s why he is deeply involved in the two research projects Hambach-Shuttle and TERMINAL, which puruse the goal of autonomous operations on a daily basis. Moreover, the projects analyse system limits and the public acceptance of autonomus transportation.
Back in his masters studies about mobility and inrastructure he choose to focus on road design and traffic planning. Besides studying he worked as a student employee at INOVAPLAN GmbH to collect practical experience in traffic planning. His main focus was the future forms of mobility like Carsharing and autonomous driving.
He wrote his masters thesis with the title "Autonomous Carsharing - An alternative for public transportation in the rural area".
