Legal grounds for the use of drones (UAS): CURPAS e. V. and European Drones Cooperation launches its online survey.

The CURPAS e. V. and the European Drones Cooperatioon (EDC) are inviting all interested parties to take part in an exciting survey concerning the transposition of EU law into national law in the field of the use of drones (Unmanned Aerial Systems, UAS). The association wants to use the results in order to gain insight into the economic potential of professionally used UAS
The CURPAS survey aims to use the expert opinion of professionals involved with drones to assess the impact of transposition of European UAS requirements to national legislation. Moreover, this topic raises yet another question of how to evaluate the further development of the economic use of UAS. CURPAS e.V. and the EDC would like to actively promote the development process and the economic use of autonomous systems in Germany and throughout Europe.
Anyone interested in the professional use of UAS and the current national/European legal situation in this area is welcome to participate.
The survey starts now and ends in mid-May 2021
Participants can take part in the survey by using the following links:

About EDC www.european-drones-cooperation.eu:
The EDC is a cooperation between European organisations involved with unmanned systems (drones), which was founded in June 2019 as a result of the initiative of CURPAS e. V. and UAS Denmark. The Cooperation aims to jointly contribute to innovation and use of drone technologies throughout Europe. Furthermore, the EDC intends to establish itself as a common voice in order to strengthen its members at the European level. Through the association, the network members participated in European funding programmes as well as in various events and conferences.
In addition to the German CURPAS e. V. and UAS Denmark, the following organisations are involved: Aerospace Valley (France), Belgian Drone Federation (Belgium), Hamburg Aviation, SAFE CLUSTER (France), Silesian Aviation Cluster (Poland) and Andalusia Aerospace Cluster (Spain).
About CURPAS www.curpas.de:
CURPAS e.V. was founded in 2016 by 16 member companies to promote the civil use, development and research of unmanned systems. In the first years following its foundation, CURPAS mainly focused on unmanned aerial systems, which resulted in the emergence of a strong association that represents and promotes the use of this innovative technology.
With more than 65 members today, consisting of users, manufacturers and scientific institutions dealing with the field of unmanned systems (operating on land and water as well as in the air), an innovative association was born to promote projects and support cooperation. In order to utilise the potential of unmanned systems, it is essential to identify opportunities and overcome the challenges associated with them. CURPAS e.V. is the sponsor of the CURPAS network of the same name, founded by the state of Brandenburg. CURPAS is member of the European Drones Cooperation (EDC) and a member of the Unmanned Aviation Advisory Board and the working groups.
